Aisha Hinds is an American actress best recognized for her roles on the television shows The Shield and True Blood. She has proved her versatility throughout 2003, delivering impressive performance on television shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit, 1-8-7, and Under the Dome. In 2005, she was noticed initially for her role as Anna on Assault on Precinct 13 But it was her performance as the feminist Fannie Lou Hamer, in the biography film All the Way that finally gave her acclaim as an actress. Hind's portrayal of Harriet Tubman on WGN America's period drama Underground was also highly appreciated. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television renewed the show for a fresh season. Hind recently Hind wrapped filming for the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters due for release by mid-2019.
